In brief

What this company does

CBL International Ltd facilitates vessel refueling between ship operators and local physical distributors and traders by purchasing marine fuel, including fossil fuel and alternative fuel such as biofuel and LNG, from its suppliers and arranging for the fuel to be delivered by the suppliers to its customers. It prices its services on a "cost plus" basis, obtaining a premium that is the difference between the selling price per metric ton of marine fuel sold to customers and the purchase cost from suppliers. The company operates in fossil fuel and sustainable fuel markets, with a presence across Asia Pacific, Europe, Australia, Africa, and Central America. As of April 2026, it had established a supply network covering more than 70 ports across the Asia Pacific, Europe, Australia, Africa and Central America. Previously focused more on container liners, the company has broadened its customer base to include bulk carriers and tankers. It commenced business in 2015. It changed its trading products at the end of 2018, handled Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil throughout 2019, and integrated with the newly regulated market at the beginning of 2020.
