The Company reports its operations through three segments: North America Confectionery, North America Salty Snacks and International. The North America Confectionery segment covers chocolate and non-chocolate confectionery, gum and refreshment products, protein bars, spreads, snack bites and mixes, as well as pantry and food service lines in the United States and Canada. The North America Salty Snacks segment covers salty snacking products in the United States, including ready-to-eat popcorn, baked and trans fat-free snacks, and pretzels. The International segment combines the Company's other operating regions, with operations and manufacturing in Mexico, Brazil, India and Malaysia and sales in export markets across Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. The Hershey Company was incorporated under the laws of the State of Delaware on October 24, 1927 as a successor to a business founded in 1894 by Milton S. Hershey.
