Amwell sells access to the Amwell Platform, its enterprise digital care delivery platform and software, through recurring subscriptions, along with related services and solutions delivered as configurable modules, partner programs and Carepoint devices and services. As of December 31, 2025 it powered the digital care programs of approximately 50 health plans, which together represent more than 90 million covered lives, and of approximately 80 health systems. Since inception it has powered more than 37.6 million virtual care visits for clients, of which more than 4.5 million took place during that year. For health systems, the Amwell Platform carries provider-to-provider virtual care for uses ranging from stroke to virtual nursing and e-sitting. It extends the clinical capacity of its clients with Amwell Medical Group, a nationwide network of clinical entities whose multi-disciplinary providers work on 24/7/365 coverage. It had 562 full-time employees at the end of 2025, 77% of them based in the United States across 42 states and the rest in Ireland, Israel, Colombia and the United Kingdom. Amwell was founded in 2006.
