What this company does

Equifax Inc. provides information solutions for businesses, governments and consumers, and provides human resources business process automation and outsourcing services for employers. Equifax employed approximately 15,000 employees in 22 countries as of December 31, 2025. Its revenue streams are highly diversified, with its largest client providing approximately 3% of total revenue. The company is organized and reports its business results in three operating segments: Workforce Solutions, U.S. Information Solutions (USIS), and International. The Workforce Solutions segment operates in the U.S. through two business units, including Verification Services, whose online verification services enable third-party verifiers, including government agencies, mortgage originators, lenders and pre-employment screeners, to verify employment status and income. The USIS segment provides consumer and commercial information solutions to businesses in the U.S. through two product and service lines, including Online Information Solutions, whose products are derived from databases of consumer and commercial information the company maintains, including credit history, current credit status, payment history, address and other identity information. The International segment includes the company's Latin America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Canada business units, which offer products similar to those available in the USIS segment but with variations by geographic region. Equifax was originally incorporated under the laws of the State of Georgia in 1913, and its predecessor company dates back to 1899.
