Herc Holdings Inc. conducts substantially all of its operations through subsidiaries, including Herc Rentals Inc., and, in addition to its principal equipment rental business, sells used equipment and contractor supplies, provides repair, maintenance, equipment management services and safety training, offers equipment re-rental services and on-site support, and provides ancillary services such as equipment transport, rental protection, cleaning, refueling and labor. It operates 602 locations in 46 states in the United States and five provinces in Canada, with an estimated 4% market share by revenue in the North American equipment rental industry. As of December 31, 2025, it employed approximately 9,600 people. Contractor business represented approximately 38% of its equipment rental revenue for the year ended December 31, 2025. National accounts represented 49% of equipment rental revenue for the year ended December 31, 2025. It changed its name to Herc Holdings Inc. on June 30, 2016. Herc Holdings was incorporated in Delaware in 2005 under a previous name.
