What this company does

PACCAR builds commercial trucks marketed under the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF nameplates in three plants in the United States, three in Europe and one each in Australia, Brasil, Canada and Mexico, and also designs and manufactures diesel engines primarily for use in its own trucks at facilities in Columbus, Mississippi, Eindhoven, the Netherlands and Ponta Grossa, Brasil. On December 31, 2025, the company had approximately 25,900 employees, approximately 40% of them in the United States. PACCAR operates in three principal industry segments: Truck, Parts and Financial Services. Commercial truck manufacturing accounted for 68% of total 2025 net sales and revenues, and substantially all trucks are sold to independent dealers. The Parts segment distributes aftermarket parts for trucks and related commercial vehicles to over 2,000 Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF dealers and more than 350 TRP stores in 99 countries, delivered through 21 parts distribution centers in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, Mexico and Central and South America. PACCAR Financial Services operates in 26 countries in North America, Europe, Australia and South America through wholly owned finance companies under the PACCAR Financial trade name, and conducts full-service leasing operations in North America, Germany and Australia under the PacLease trade name. PACCAR Inc was incorporated under the laws of Delaware in 1971 as the successor to Pacific Car and Foundry Company, which was incorporated in Washington in 1924, and traces its predecessors to Seattle Car Manufacturing Company formed in 1905.
