The company's gunshot detection solutions consist of cloud-based software integrated with internet-enabled sensors designed to detect outdoor gunfire. SafePointe is a passive AI-based weapons detection system that replaces a queued, guard-staffed checkpoint with a free-flow screening area. The company was formed as ShotSpotter, Inc., a California corporation, in 2001, reincorporated as ShotSpotter, Inc., a Delaware corporation, in 2004, and reincorporated as SoundThinking, Inc. a Delaware Corporation in 2023.
