What this company does

Star Equity Holdings, Inc. operates four business segments — Building Solutions, Business Services, Energy Services and Investments — and, through them, manufactures building products, provides staffing and recruitment services, supplies drilling tools and downhole equipment for the energy sector, and holds real estate and investment assets. Its Building Solutions segment includes KBS Builders, Inc., EdgeBuilder, Inc., Glenbrook Building Supply, Inc. and Timber Technologies Solutions, Inc., which manufacture modular buildings, structural wall panels, engineered wood products and glue-laminated timber for residential, commercial and industrial markets. The Business Services segment consists of Hudson Talent Solutions and provides recruitment process outsourcing, contingent workforce solutions, recruitment consulting, outsourced professional contract staffing and managed service provider services across eighteen countries in three geographic regions: the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe, Middle East, and Africa. The Energy Services segment consists of ADT, a Wyoming- and Texas-based provider of downhole drilling tools and services to the oil and gas, geothermal, mining and waterwell sectors, with a cost structure that allows most variable costs to be passed through to customers. The company employs approximately 1,200 people worldwide, of which approximately 950 are within its Business Services segment, including approximately 110 in the United States and 840 internationally. For the years ended December 31, 2025 and 2024, approximately 73% and 85% of revenue, respectively, was generated by its top 25 clients, and in 2025 one client accounted for 23% of revenue. On September 4, 2025, the company changed its name from Hudson Global, Inc. to Star Equity Holdings, Inc., effective September 5, 2025.

EPS, diluted, dividend per share and shares outstanding are shown without shading, and a vertical line marks the year the share count changed — the series crosses a large, unexplained change in share count, so the years on either side are not on a comparable scale.
