Reinsurance operations are conducted on a worldwide basis through reinsurance subsidiaries including Arch Re Bermuda, Arch Re U.S., its Lloyd's Syndicates, and Arch Re Europe. Mortgage operations include mortgage insurance and reinsurance in the U.S. and internationally, as well as participation in GSE credit risk-sharing transactions. Arch Capital was formed in September 2000 and became the sole shareholder of Arch Capital Group (U.S.) Inc. pursuant to an internal reorganization transaction completed in November 2000.
