It serves over 1.1 million clients and pays over 42 million workers in over 140 countries and territories. Its two reportable business segments are Employer Services and Professional Employer Organization (PEO). Its Employer Services segment serves clients ranging from single-employee small businesses to large enterprises, offering technology-based HCM solutions and human resources outsourcing. Its Professional Employer Organization (PEO) business, ADP TotalSource, offers a co-employment arrangement in which client worksite employees are co-employed by the client and ADP, along with benefits, risk management, safety, and workers' compensation programs. ADP was established by its founders in 1949.
