During 2025, it managed and reported its operations under three reportable segments: Energy Storage, Specialties and Ketjen. Its Energy Storage business develops and manufactures a broad range of basic lithium compounds, including lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide, and lithium chloride. Its Specialties business comprises bromine and specialized lithium solutions and serves industries including energy, mobility, connectivity, and health. Its Ketjen segment's three main product lines are Clean Fuels Technologies, fluidized catalytic cracking catalysts and additives, and performance catalyst solutions. As of December 31, 2025, it had approximately 7,800 employees, including employees of its consolidated joint ventures, of whom 40% were employed in the U.S. and the Americas, 33% in Asia Pacific, 19% in Europe, and 8% in the Middle East or other areas. Albemarle Corporation was incorporated in Virginia in 1993.
