As of December 31, 2025 it had approximately 53,000 full-time employees and 300 part-time employees. It operates primarily in the United States, across all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and in Canada. The business is reported in four segments, which draw on shared human resources, investment, finance, information technology and legal services provided by Allstate Insurance Company and other affiliates. The Allstate Protection segment writes private passenger auto, homeowners and other personal lines products, and accounted for 93.9% of consolidated insurance premiums and contract charges in 2025. Protection Services brings together Protection Plans, Roadside, Dealer Services, Identity Protection and Arity, and accounted for 5.0% of consolidated total revenue in the same year. The Run-off Property-Liability segment holds property and casualty insurance coverage relating mainly to policies written from the 1960s through the mid-1980s. The Allstate Corporation was incorporated under the laws of the State of Delaware on November 5, 1992, to serve as the holding company for Allstate Insurance Company.
