As of December 31, 2025, it operated seven underground mining complexes across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, along with a coal-loading terminal on the Ohio River in Indiana. It manages and reports its coal operations under two regions, Illinois Basin and Appalachia. At December 31, 2025, its mining operations, held by Alliance Coal, had access to approximately 586.3 million tons of coal mineral reserves and 1.07 billion tons of coal mineral resources in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. In 2025, it sold 33.0 million tons of coal and produced 33.2 million tons. It also owns mineral and royalty interests in approximately 70,000 net royalty acres, including approximately 4,000 net royalty acres attributable to its equity interest in AllDale III, in oil and gas producing regions in the United States, primarily the Permian, Anadarko, and Williston Basins. As of December 31, 2025, it employed 3,575 full-time employees, including 2,895 employees in active coal mining operations, 236 employees at Matrix Design, 237 employees supporting other operating activities, and 207 corporate employees.
