As of September 30, 2025, it had approximately 4,100 employees across its global network of office and manufacturing locations, with 40% located in the Americas, 33% in Asia Pacific and 27% in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Its business is organized into two reportable segments: Reinforcement Materials and Performance Chemicals. Reinforcing carbons, a class of carbon blacks manufactured by Cabot, are used to enhance the physical properties of the systems and applications in which they are incorporated, and its reinforcing carbons products are used in tires and industrial products. In its Performance Chemicals segment, Cabot designs, manufactures and sells materials for a range of customer applications across the automotive, construction, infrastructure, inkjet printing, electronics and consumer products sectors and for applications in the generation, transmission and storage of energy, combining its specialty carbons, specialty compounds, battery materials, fumed metal oxides, aerogel and inkjet product lines. Cabot's business was founded in 1882 and incorporated in the State of Delaware in 1960.
