It is a holding company with seven operating subsidiaries: Cal Water, Washington Water Service Company, New Mexico Water Service Company, Hawaii Water Service Company, Inc., TWSC, Inc., CWS Utility Services, and HWS Utility Services LLC. Its original operating subsidiary, Cal Water, began operations in 1926.
