In brief

What this company does

Through its subsidiaries, it delivers a broad range of insurance products to customers via its owned and partner MGAs, which generated $1.1 billion of gross written premium in 2025. As of December 31, 2025, its workforce consisted of a total of 540 employees, of which 371 were located in the United States and 169 internationally. It had $436.1 million of stockholders' equity at year-end 2025. It operates and reports its underwriting business across five main lines of business: Homeowners, Renters, Casualty, Commercial Multi-Peril, and Other. The Renters line, Hippo's longest active program, provides short-tail coverage for personal property and contents of rented residences and is underwritten by a third-party program administrator. In August 2021, Hippo Enterprises Inc., a Delaware corporation, completed a business combination that made it a wholly owned subsidiary of Reinvent Technology Partners Z, a special purpose acquisition company that changed its name to Hippo Holdings Inc.
