Kronos Worldwide, Inc. is a global producer and marketer of value-added titanium dioxide pigments, or TiO2, a base industrial product used in a wide range of applications. It, along with its distributors and agents, sells and provides technical services for its products to approximately 3,000 customers in 100 countries, with the majority of sales in Europe, North America and the Asia Pacific region. It operates facilities throughout North America and Europe, including four TiO2 plants in Europe, located in Leverkusen, Germany; Nordenham, Germany; Langerbrugge, Belgium; and Fredrikstad, Norway. As of December 31, 2025, it employed 2,263 people: 1,650 in Europe, 302 in Canada and 311 in the United States. Its TiO2 business is complemented by three other businesses, which together comprised approximately 10% of its net sales in 2025. It manufactures and sells iron-based chemicals, co-products of its sulfate and chloride process TiO2 pigment production, marketed through its Ecochem division and used primarily as treatment and conditioning agents for industrial effluents and municipal wastewater as well as in the manufacture of iron pigments, cement and agricultural products. Kronos was incorporated in Delaware in 1989.
