MercadoLibre operates an online commerce platform and a fintech platform that enable buying and selling online, the processing of payments online and offline, and a wide array of day-to-day financial services. Its e-commerce platform is present in 18 countries and its fintech platform, Mercado Pago, is present in 8 countries, among them Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay and Ecuador. The ecosystem offered to users comprises the Mercado Libre Marketplace, the Mercado Pago fintech platform, the Mercado Envios logistics service, the Mercado Ads solution and the Mercado Libre Classifieds service. Third-party sellers account for most of the GMV transacted on the Marketplace, while first-party sales made directly to consumers in selected categories account for less than 10% of GMV. The logistics network is built around fulfillment centers, which account for more than half of shipments, and cross-docking, in which items sold are collected from sellers directly or through a network of thousands of partner stores called MELI Places. In the countries in which Mercado Pago operates, it processes and settles all transactions on the Marketplace. As of December 31, 2025, the company had 123,670 employees, including 61,139 in Brazil, 34,336 in Mexico and 16,726 in Argentina. MercadoLibre is a Delaware corporation incorporated on October 15, 1999, and its principal executive offices are located in Montevideo, Uruguay.
