The Financial segment, which generated revenues of $737.0 million in 2025, is comprised of insurance services and investment management businesses that operate in the financial sector. The Consumer and Other segment, which generated revenues of $1.4 billion in 2025, is comprised of businesses that operate in the consumer sector, as well as a variety of other sectors. The Markel Style, the company's creedal statement, was written in 1986 in preparation for its initial public offering.
