Nutrien provides crop inputs and services and operates a network of production, distribution and agriculture retail facilities serving farmers. At December 31, 2025, it employed approximately 25,100 employees. It reports its results in four reportable operating segments: Retail, Potash, Nitrogen and Phosphate. Retail markets crop nutrients, crop protection products, seed and merchandise and provides agronomic application services from over 1,800 retail locations across North America, Australia and South America, where over 4,200 crop consultants support farmers in crop planning, seed selection, soil sampling and crop monitoring. In 2025 it sold approximately 27.5 million metric tonnes of manufactured fertilizer from production facilities in Canada, the US and Trinidad. Potash mining and processing, for a product predominantly used as fertilizer, take place at six Saskatchewan mines. Owned and operated nitrogen facilities have a combined annual gross ammonia nameplate capacity of approximately 7.3 million tonnes and a combined annual gross urea nameplate capacity of approximately 4.6 million tonnes.
