What this company does

Planet Labs PBC has designed, built, launched and operated hundreds of satellites that collect a data set of over 3,000 images on average for every point on Earth's landmass, building a historical archive for analytics, machine learning and insights. As of January 31, 2026, it had a total of approximately 1,000 employees, including approximately 945 full-time employees, working across 29 countries worldwide. The company was incorporated under the laws of the state of Delaware on December 15, 2020 under the name dMY Technology Group, Inc.
