AT&T offers a range of nationwide wireless voice and data communications services under a variety of pricing plans, and through its FirstNet services also provides a nationwide wireless broadband network for public safety. It provides broadband and internet services to approximately 14.7 million customers, including 10.4 million fiber broadband connections and 1.5 million AT&T Internet Air connections at December 31, 2025. As of December 31, 2025, the company served 120 million Mobility subscribers, including 91 million postpaid, 18 million prepaid and 11 million through resellers. It employed approximately 133,030 persons at that same date. AT&T has two reportable segments, Communications and Latin America. The Communications segment provides wireless and wireline telecom and broadband services to consumers located in the United States and businesses globally, and its services and products are marketed under the AT&T, AT&T Business, Cricket, AT&T PREPAID, AT&T Fiber and AT&T Internet Air brand names. In Mexico, it provides postpaid and prepaid wireless services to approximately 24.7 million subscribers under the AT&T and Unefon brands. AT&T was formerly known as SBC Communications Inc. and was spun off from AT&T Corp. on January 1, 1984, becoming an independent publicly traded telecommunications services provider.
