In brief

What this company does

Worthington Steel, Inc. is a value-added processor of carbon flat-rolled steel and a producer of laser welded solutions and electrical steel laminations. It operates 34 manufacturing facilities located in the U.S. (19), Canada (2), China, India, Germany, Mexico (4), Italy (3), France, Slovakia and Switzerland. As of May 31, 2026, the company had approximately 5,400 employees, and its unconsolidated joint venture employed approximately 500 additional individuals. During fiscal 2026, its top three customers, each in the automotive industry, represented approximately 34.5% of total net sales. The company determined that it has only one operating segment and therefore one reportable segment. Worthington Steel became a stand-alone, publicly traded company on December 1, 2023, when Worthington Enterprises, Inc., an Ohio corporation formerly known as Worthington Industries, Inc., completed the separation of its steel processing business into Worthington Steel.
