Its product portfolio spans immunology, neuroscience, oncology and aesthetics. In immunology, the company maintains a portfolio across rheumatology, dermatology and gastroenterology. The Aesthetics portfolio consists of facial injectables, plastics and regenerative medicine, body contouring and skincare products. Incorporated in Delaware on April 10, 2012, AbbVie became an independent, publicly traded company on January 1, 2013, when Abbott Laboratories distributed 100% of the outstanding common stock of AbbVie to Abbott's shareholders.
