In brief

What this company does

Barrick Mining Corporation produces and sells gold and related exploration and mine development activities, and also produces copper, principally through its Zaldívar joint venture, Jabal Sayid joint venture and its Lumwana mine. For the year ended December 31, 2025, it produced 3.26 million ounces of gold at a cost of sales of $1,697 per ounce. In the same year it produced 220 thousand tonnes of copper at a cost of sales of $2.91 per pound. As at December 31, 2025, excluding contractors, it employed approximately 27,000 employees worldwide, based mainly in Canada, the United States, Argentina, Chile, the Dominican Republic, the DRC, Mali, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, Zambia and the United Arab Emirates, plus approximately 32,300 contractors. Its reportable operating segments consisted of eight individual gold mines -- Carlin, Cortez, Turquoise Ridge, Pueblo Viejo, Loulo-Gounkoto, Kibali, North Mara and Bulyanhulu -- and one individual copper mine, Lumwana. Its Nevada Gold Mines joint venture, established on July 1, 2019 by contributing Barrick's Cortez, Goldstrike, Turquoise Ridge and Goldrush properties together with Newmont Corporation's Carlin, Twin Creeks, Phoenix, Long Canyon and Lone Tree properties, produced 1,591 thousand ounces of gold in 2025. Because a large number of gold purchasers are available, it is not dependent on the sale of gold to any one customer.
