In brief

What this company does

Canopy Growth produces, distributes, and sells a diverse range of cannabis and cannabis-related products for adult-use and medical purposes under a portfolio of distinct brands in Canada pursuant to the Cannabis Act, and internationally pursuant to applicable legislation, regulations, and permits. It supplies cannabis products in Canada, Europe, and Australia, and holds a non-controlling, non-voting interest in Canopy USA, an entity that participates in the sale of cannabis products in the United States. As of March 31, 2026, Canopy Growth had 1,128 total employees, including 923 employees in Canada and 205 employees outside of Canada. As of the three months ended June 30, 2025, it reports two segments: Cannabis, covering the global production, distribution and sale of cannabis and cannabis-related products, and Storz & Bickel, covering the production, distribution and sale of vaporizers and accessories. Its cannabis cultivation operations are focused in three facilities: a hybrid greenhouse facility in Kincardine, Ontario, a second indoor facility in Pointe Claire, Quebec, and a third facility in Louiseville, Quebec. Storz & Bickel operates an internationally certified facility that manufactures medical devices, and its certified medical vaporizers and dry herb vaporizers are exported to over 100 markets around the world. Canopy Growth was incorporated pursuant to the Canada Business Corporations Act on August 5, 2009, and was among the first companies permitted to cultivate and sell legal cannabis in Canada.
