In the United States it conducts its business primarily from its headquarters in Greenwich, Connecticut and from Chicago, Illinois, and abroad through offices located in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland, Hungary, Dubai, India, China (Hong Kong and Shanghai), Japan, Singapore and Australia. As of December 31, 2025, it had 3,182 employees in 24 cities across 16 countries. No single customer represented more than 2% of its commissions in 2025. The company traces its roots to the market making business founded by its Chairman, Mr. Thomas Peterffy, on the floor of the American Stock Exchange in 1977.
