The Medical Surgical Portfolio includes the Surgical & Endoscopy and Acute Care & Monitoring divisions, whose products are used primarily by healthcare systems, physicians' offices, ambulatory surgical centers and other alternate site healthcare providers. Medtronic was founded in 1949 and serves healthcare systems, physicians, clinicians and patients in more than 150 countries worldwide.
