MedSurg and Neurotechnology products include surgical equipment, patient and caregiver safety technologies and navigation systems (Instruments), endoscopic and communications systems (Endoscopy), patient handling and emergency medical equipment, intensive care disposable products, and clinical communication and artificial-intelligence-assisted virtual care platform technology (Medical), minimally invasive products for the treatment of acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke and venous thromboembolism (Vascular), and products for brain and open skull-based surgical procedures along with orthobiologic and biosurgery products, including synthetic bone grafts and vertebral augmentation products (Neuro Cranial). Orthopaedics products primarily include implants used in total joint replacements, such as hip, knee and shoulder, ankle, and trauma and extremities surgeries. Stryker was incorporated in Michigan in 1946 as the successor company to a business founded in 1941 by Dr. Homer H. Stryker.
