Its single cell portfolio, powered by its Chromium platform, includes microfluidic chips and related consumables and its Chromium X Series and legacy Chromium instruments, which serve as reagent delivery systems partitioning samples into individual components that can exceed one million. Its spatial portfolio is powered by its Visium and Xenium platforms, combining histology and genomics. It was incorporated in the State of Delaware on July 2, 2012 under the name Avante Biosystems, Inc., and changed its name to 10X Technologies, Inc. in September 2012 and to 10x Genomics, Inc. in November 2014.
