In brief

What this company does

AIM’s products are Ampligen (rintatolimod) and Alferon N Injection (Interferon alfa). The Company’s flagship product –Ampligen – is a double-stranded RNA (“dsRNA”) molecule being developed for globally important cancers, viral diseases and disorders of the immune system. Ampligen has not been approved by the FDA or marketed in the United States but is approved for commercial sale in the Argentine Republic for the treatment of severe Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (“CFS”). Based on clinical success as to safety and efficacy in our pancreatic cancer Early Access Program and an ongoing Phase 2 trial, AIM has made the business decision to focus its efforts on the development of Ampligen for the treatment of late-stage pancreatic cancer, as we believe that – of all the opportunities a wide-spectrum therapeutic such as Ampligen has – pancreatic cancer treatment is the path that will potentially lead to the most lucrative outcome. We have a well-developed pancreatic cancer program with broad combination therapy patents in the United States, Japan and Europe, as well as market exclusivity provided by orphan drug designations in the United States and the European Union.

EPS, diluted, dividend per share and shares outstanding are shown without shading, and a vertical line marks the year the share count changed — the series crosses a large, unexplained change in share count, so the years on either side are not on a comparable scale.
