In brief

What this company does

BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a global biotechnology company that develops and commercializes medicines for hereditary angioedema and other rare diseases. It has built a commercial infrastructure to support the commercialization of ORLADEYO, an oral, once-daily therapy discovered and developed internally for the prevention of HAE attacks. A capsule formulation of ORLADEYO was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in December 2020 for prophylaxis to prevent attacks of HAE in adults and pediatric patients 12 years and older, and it subsequently received regulatory approvals for ORLADEYO in other global markets. On January 23, 2026, pursuant to its merger with Astria Therapeutics, Inc., it acquired Astria's lead product candidate navenibart, an injectable monoclonal antibody designed to inhibit plasma kallikrein for the treatment of HAE. As of December 31, 2025, it had approximately 435 employees, of whom approximately 118 were engaged in its research and development function. It is a Delaware corporation originally founded in 1986.

EPS, diluted, dividend per share and shares outstanding are shown without shading, and a vertical line marks the year the share count changed — the series crosses a large, unexplained change in share count, so the years on either side are not on a comparable scale.
