It also operates 399 Hub stores that provide same-day delivery service to stores in surrounding areas. In 2025, it derived approximately 50% of its sales from DIY customers and approximately 50% from professional service provider customers. The business was founded in 1957 by Charles F. O’Reilly and his son, Charles H. “Chub” O’Reilly, Sr., initially operating from a single store in Springfield, Missouri.
