As of December 31, 2025, the business was reported in four segments: Domestic, Import, Premium Luxury, and AutoNation Finance. The Domestic, Import, and Premium Luxury segments are made up of retail automotive franchises, whose stores also sell used vehicles, parts and automotive repair and maintenance services, and automotive finance and insurance products. The AutoNation Finance segment is the captive auto finance company, which provides indirect financing to qualified retail customers on vehicles the company sells. In 2025, approximately 37% of total revenue was generated by Premium Luxury franchises, 30% by Import franchises and 27% by Domestic franchises.
