As of the end of fiscal 2026, it had 209,931 team members, of whom 198,111 were hourly team members. Its sourcing staff purchases food and supplies from more than 1,400 suppliers whose products originate in more than 30 countries. It manages its restaurant brands in North America as operating segments aggregated into four reportable segments: Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Fine Dining, which includes Ruth's Chris, The Capital Grille and Eddie V's, and Other Business, which includes Yard House, Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, Chuy's, Seasons 52, Bahama Breeze, The Capital Burger, and royalties and other fees from franchise operations and contractually managed locations. Darden is a Florida corporation, incorporated in March 1995, and is the parent company of GMRI, Inc., also a Florida corporation, which was originally incorporated in March 1968 as Red Lobster Inns of America, Inc.
