Cheniere is a Houston-based energy infrastructure company primarily engaged in LNG-related businesses. It provides LNG to integrated energy companies, utilities and energy trading companies around the world. As of December 31, 2025, it had 1,717 full-time employees, with 1,617 located in the U.S. and 100 located outside of the U.S. It owns and operates the SPL Project and export facility, the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal, through its ownership interest in and management agreements with CQP, a publicly traded limited partnership. It also has 100% ownership interest in its natural gas liquefaction and export facility located near Corpus Christi, Texas, the Corpus Christi LNG Terminal. LNG produced by the Liquefaction Projects that is not contracted under long-term contracts is sold in the global market by Cheniere Marketing, its integrated marketing function, under spot sales or other short-term agreements. The company shipped its first LNG cargo in February 2016, and as of February 20, 2026, more than 4,610 cumulative LNG cargoes totaling over 315 million tonnes of LNG had been produced, loaded and exported from the Liquefaction Projects.
